To support increasing demand for strategic technology solutions for the world’s largest venue portfolio, ASM Global has acquired controlling interest in Anthony James Partners (AJP), an industry-leading owner’s representative and AV consultant that specialises in the design, procurement and implementation of large-scale AV technology and related systems.
The move demonstrates a recognition that AV technology has become the central nervous system of the live-event experience. AJP’s broad experience and in-depth understanding of the industry will be used to arm ASM Global facility owners and operators with the critical knowledge and input necessary to make fully informed strategic decisions on major investments into complex technology and integration solutions.
Ron Bension, ASM Global president and CEO said: “Demand for cutting-edge technology solutions for our vast network of facilities has been steadily increasing. AJP and their excellent leadership team are best in class. A trusted resource, they provide unique services and employ a proven process that will protect the best interests of our clients. Our partnership with AJP further solidifies our position as the premier provider in live-entertainment services, content and technology.”
The partnership will bolster ASM’s technological capabilities through the strategic deployment of digital signage networks; LED displays; broadcast production facilities; audio and sports/entertainment lighting; along with core integration and infrastructure requirements for ASM arenas, stadiums and convention centres. The DOOH alliance will also support a broader scope of design, procurement and construction administration services in areas such as entertainment districts, municipal and cultural centres, and digital out-of-home media.
“ASM and AJP have been great working partners for many years, and we’re honored to be part of the ASM Global family,” said Michael Rowe, AJP CEO and a founding partner. “We sincerely appreciate all the support we received to make this partnership a reality. ASM’s leadership and management expertise will support new opportunities for AJP to expand our value offering and services across a global footprint.”
“Technology is evolving at an exponential rate,” Frank Moraski, AJP COO and a founding partner said. “Together, ASM and AJP have the unique opportunity to fundamentally change the way technology-based projects are being imagined and implemented. We’re excited to get to work.”
AJP recently and currently has provided critical technical/design management services for the Nashville Predators/Bridgestone Arena, Chicago White Sox/Guaranteed Rate Field, Philadelphia Union/Subaru Park, Gila River Arena, Purdue University/Ross-Ade Stadium, Clemson University/campuswide digital signage network, Xavier Center/Cintas Center, and several ACC Network broadcast production facilities, most recently for University of Louisville, University of Pittsburgh, University of North Carolina and Virginia Tech.
A sample of AJP’s recent major projects for ASM managed facilities include participation in an $8 million facility upgrade project at the Louisville, Kentucky, KFC Yum! Center; technology upgrades for the sprawling Westgate Entertainment District in Glendale, Arizona; and AV design for El Distrito (District Live) in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
